Working in the family home; provide flexible and individual care to young children (including small baby); ensuring that the well-being and development, on every level, is catered for.
- To protect the children from any harm, providing them with a safe environment to develop.
- To prepare nutritionally balanced meals for the family.
- To keep the kitchen area clean and tidy.
- To maintain good communication with the parents - advising them of the children's development or any concerns with behaviour.
- Take the children to and from school, to after school activities, organising play-dates, helping with homework, carrying out laundry/ironing duties and running errands.
- Maintain children’s bedroom and play area
Candidates must have:
- FETAC childcare certificates, Nursery or Montessori diplomas or other childcare certificates. We would also consider a candidate who does not hold childcare qualifications (ideally with experience). (If not qualified, must have at least four years demonstrated successful childcare experience).
- Kind, fun and good humoured
- Flexible (and available to work overtime (evenings or weekends as occasionally required)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills - both children and adults alike
- Initiative and imagination
- Organised with the ability to follow a structured routine
- Punctual and reliable
- A drivers licence would be an advantage.
In return:
- A fully furnished, self-contained apartment, on the grounds of family home, is available to candidates who would be prepared to live-in.
It is equipped with all modern conveniences (including all meals). Small deducation from Salary for a live-in employee.
- 4 weeks paid annual leave (based on a 12 month contract). Holidays must coincide with the family holidays.
